Pre-Professional Program Administration

Dr. Miriam Espinosa is the Director of the Pre-Professional Program as well as Professor of English. She teaches the junior 3PR class and advises pre-law students.

Dr. Kathy Prater is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and the University Director of Advising. She is also the Assistant Director of the Pre-Professional Program and advises pre-med students. Dr. Prater assistant teaches the junior 3PR class with Dr. Espinosa.

Dr. Bobby Deaton is Professor of Physics. He is the chair of the 3PR Advisory Board and serves as an advisor for pre-med students.

Mr. Scott Methvin is the University Counselor and the Director of the Glick House Community Counseling Center.He teaches the sophomore 3PR classes.

Ms. Michelle Payne is a Visiting Professor of Political Science and serves as the sponsor for the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Honor Society. Ms. Payne also teaches the 3PR Moot Court class, serves as sponsor for the Moot Court, Mediation and Mock Trial teams and advises pre-law students majoring in Political Science or Paralegal Studies.

Dr. Ibrahim Salih is Professor of Political Science. He advises our pre-law students majoring in Political Science or Paralegal Studies and serves as sponsor for the Pre-Law Society.

Dr. Chitra Chandrasekaran is an Associate Professor of Biology and the Department Chair. She advises pre-med students and is co-sponsor of the Pre-Med/Pre-Dental Society.

Dr. Ron McManus is Professor of Religion and Philosophy, Psychology, and Counseling, as well as the Bebensee University Scholar. He advises pre-ministry students and teaches Ethics in the Professions. he is the sponsor of the Ethics Bowl and Business Ethics teams.

Dr. Jesse Sowell is Professor of Religion. He advises pre-ministry students and is the academic sponsor of Omega Chi, the Pre-Ministry Society.

Pre-Licensed Professional Counseling

Dr. Lisa Hensley is Associate Professor of Psychology and serves as the sponsor for the Psi Chi Honor Society. She teaches introductory counseling courses as well as developmental psychology courses. She serves as advisor to psychology majors including those who plan to attend graduate school pursuing advanced degrees in clinical, counseling or experimental psychology.
