How can I enroll in 3PR? You must be an enrolled student of Texas Wesleyan University. (For university enrollment information, please contact Admissions.) Once you are able to enroll in classes, talk to your academic advisor and express your interest in the 3PR program. He/she will help you begin the registration process for enrollment or you can contact the 3PR advisors or staff for further information. Program Requirements Admission to graduate school requires that you take your undergraduate studies seriously in order to attain the two most quantifiable factors needed for admission: your cumulative GPA and your score on the standardized exam. To this end, the 3PR program requires a 3.0 GPA for participation. In the event that you are an entering freshman, an SAT score of 1000 or an ACT score of 22 is accepted. While the 3PR program offers assistance and resources to aid in your application for the graduate school of your choice, only you can control your GPA. College is a huge transition, and it takes several weeks or even months to fully acclimate to the academic and lifestyle changes that are necessary for a successful college career. Not only is 3PR available when you are ready for graduate school, but the advisors and staff of 3PR are on hand to offer assistance, resources and insight to help you throughout your educational journey. If you have concerns or questions regarding the admission requirements for 3PR, please do not hesitate to contact us at 817 531-4484 or 3PR@txwes.edu. Each of the pre-professional programs that comprise 3PR (pre medical/dental, pre-ministry, and pre-law) has a student-led society.(Pre-licensed professional counseling students meet in conjunction with the Psi Chi Honor Society.) Mandatory society meetings and mandatory 3PR plenary sessions are generally held on alternating Mondays at noon. Because they offer additional credit hours, upper level 3PR classes require attendance not only at the noon Monday meetings but also a weekly class session that is typically scheduled for Wednesday at noon. What are the tuition fees for 3PR? Tuition for 3PR is based on the level of course you are taking; for example, 3PR 1001/1002 offers zero credit hours and thus is exempt from tuition fees. However, you must attend the free catered luncheons and society meetings as scheduled. The upper level 3PR courses are worth credit hours and are charged accordingly. The credit hour is indicated by the second digit in the course number, i.e. 3102 offers one credit hour for the tuition fee of one hour, likewise 4301 is a three hour course with a three hour tuition fee.
