    • The scholarship award is $3,500 per academic semester (fall and/or spring) up to $7,000 per academic year. Recipients may use this scholarship in conjunction with other internal scholarships such as the Dean's Scholarship, Transfer Scholarship or President's Scholarship.
    • Although certain majors do garner preference over others, there is no requirement that applicants (who have at least a 3.0 GPA) be enrolled in 3PR to apply for the scholarship.

Pre-Ministry Students

Pre-ministry students are encouraged to apply for scholarships of $500 - $1000 per semester available through the Department of Religion and Philosophy. Pre-ministry students have the opportunity to gain valuable experience through internships and participation in Omega Chi, a professional society which provides support and mentorship for the students. For more information regarding religion scholarships, please contact Dr. Ron Ballard, Professor of Religion at 817-531-4917'

Graduate Scholarships

Texas Wesleyan University School of Law

Successful 3PR students may qualify for a full tuition scholarship to Texas Wesleyan School of Law. Preliminary qualifications include

    • Minimum GPA of 3.5
    • LSAT score of 156
    • Must be accepted to the law school before being considered for the scholarship
    • Students must complete an application with the 3PR office by the designated deadline (usually March 15th of same year in which student is applying to law school).

Texas Tech University School of Law

The Texas Tech University School of Law created the Presidential Scholarship Program to bring legal education opportunities to outstanding students from selected Texas colleges and universities. Although the Texas Tech University School of Law funds the scholarship, Texas Wesleyan University is responsible for nominating the recipient. Nomination under this program, however, does not guarantee admission to the Texas Tech University School of Law. The Admissions Committee must accept each nominee based on the same criteria as applied to other applicants. Conditions for renewal of these $7,500 scholarships are provided at the time of the award. Interested students should contact the Office of the President at Texas Wesleyan University or the 3PR office for additional information.
