Oct. 15 – The Texas Wesleyan Lady Ram volleyball team cruised to victory over conference rival Paul Quinn College on Tuesday evening in Dallas. The Lady Rams won the match three games to none (30-16, 30-9, 30-12). The win improves their record to 9-8 overall, and 6-2 in conference play. They have nine conference games remaining, beginning with UT-Permian Basin at home on Friday. Game time is 1 PM in the Sid Richardson Gymnasium.

The men’s and women’s soccer teams were also in action on Tuesday, facing tough conference opponent Bacone College at Martin Field. The women, after a scoreless first half, eventually lost 3-1. Freshman Uduma Ogidi scored the Lady Rams’ only goal late in the game. The women don’t play again until October 23rd, when they travel to UT-Tyler.

The men played a very strong game against a Bacone team many believe to be the best in the conference. Bacone scored midway through the first half, and that proved to be the difference, as Wesleyan fell 1-0. The men are in action again this Saturday, the 19th, at Huston-Tillotson College in Austin.
