    FORT WORTH, Texas - John Brown defeated Texas Wesleyan, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at Martin Field.

     "John Brown is a good fundamental team," head coach Steve Jones said. "Their team speed was phenomenal. We couldn't put anything together offensively."

     John Brown (7-1) began the scoring in the 22nd minute, when Brooke Williams scored off of a pass from Tara Hachmeister.

     The Golden Eagles capped off the scoring in the 63rd minute, with Nikki Ganter picking up the goal on a pass from Rebecca Armstrong.

     Texas Wesleyan (5-3) only managed one shot compared to John Brown's 16.

     The Lady Rams will be back in action Tuesday, at Martin Field when they host Mary-Hardin Baylor at 3 p.m.
