FORT WORTH, TX: The date for this season’s exhibition game between the Texas Wesleyan University baseball team and the Fort Worth Cats has been set for April 30.
The Rams and Cats have enjoyed a long association with one another. Texas Wesleyan plays its home games at LaGrave Field, a fantastic facility that is also the home of the Cats.
Both teams have also enjoyed recent success. The Cats were champions of the independent American Association in 2006. The Rams posted their third 30-win season in the last four years and advanced to the NAIA’s Region VI Tournament in 2006.
In last season’s exhibition, the Rams managed to keep the game close, 3-0, through six innings before falling by a final score of 11-1.
This year’s contest is scheduled for April 30, with the first pitch at 6:00 p.m.
Texas Wesleyan opens its season on Friday, February 2, when they host a double-header with Wayland Baptist University. Game one is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. at LaGrave Field. |
