INDIANAPOLIS, IN: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team is in second place after one round at Indiana Wesleyan University’s NAIA Classic at the Brickyard Crossing.
Berry College leads the field at 298. The Rams are in second place just four shots off the pace. Berry’s Jarod Trammell leads all individuals after an even par round of 72.
Kevin Doskocil is two shots off the lead and tied for sixth. A trio of Rams shot rounds of 76. Armando Villarreal, Mitch Hendon, and Carlos Arenas are tied for 16th. Paco Saracho rounded out Texas Wesleyan’s card at 82.
“I felt pretty good about the day,” commented head coach Kevin Millikan. “We kept our heads in it. This is a great course that played like par was 75 today. We will come out tomorrow and take a shot.”
The Rams will complete the second and final round on Tuesday.
