LADY RAMS SIGN RODRIGUEZ

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University head volleyball coach Christy Clawson announced today the signing of local Fort Worth product, Leslie Rodriguez.

Rodriguez played or coach Jennifer Finnell at Haltom High School.  The 5’6” outside hitter was an Academic All-State selection in volleyball and basketball.  In volleyball she was named HHS Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.  She also advanced to regionals in cross country in 2004-2008.

“Leslie is a hard worker and a competitor,” Clawson commented.  “We look for her to bring that drive and determination to achieve to our program.”

The Lady Rams volleyball team had an excellent 2007 season in their second year under Clawson’s guidance.  Texas Wesleyan posted a 32-16 overall record and a perfect 10-0 mark in RRAC play.  They reached the RRAC final for the fifth time in six years and also advanced to the Region VI championship game.
