Texas Wesleyan University and Professor Ricardo E. Rodriguez established its first Chemistry Camp for kids in 1995. This camp gives knowledgeable and fun opportunities for low-income 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. 

Since 1995, this camp has introduced over 1,000 students to Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Aerodynamics. This three week program is offered free to all students through the generosity of numerous sponsors and the dedication of Dr. Rodriguez.

The outcome of this camp is astronomical! This camp gives a great opportunity for any child to have a fun summer while enjoying science. The kids go back to school with more knowledge and confidence. This camp persuades some kids to go to college, or even to become a Scientist when they grow up.
