Glick House Dedication Nov. 16

Logo of Glick HouseMarie Glick - a longtime supporter of Texas Wesleyan and a mentor to international students - will be celebrating her 100th birthday on Friday, Nov. 16. She has been part of the campus community since 1938, when she married Dr. Walter Glick, dean of the college. She still lives on campus today - in an apartment on Rosedale. At 99, she remains active, handling her own finances, exercising daily, and gardening.

Over the years, she has given generously to the university (often anonymously) and that includes donating the home she shared with her husband - now known as the Glick House. On Friday, it will be dedicated as the Glick House Community Counseling Center, which will provide counseling for mental health, addiction, marriage and family concerns, and more.

The dedication will be at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Glick House Community Counseling Center, 3001 Avenue D.
