Texas Wesleyan Christmas Party

Clip art of Christmas bells President Harold and Marie Jeffcoat cordially invite you and your family to the Texas Wesleyan Christmas Party, to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Texas Wesleyan School of Law. Santa Claus will be there with a bag full of goodies! The School of Law is located at 1515 Commerce St.; the Christmas Party will be in the Conference Center on the upper level. Wesleyan flame logoTexas Wesleyan will host graduation exercises at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Will Rogers Auditorium, 3401 W. Lancaster Ave. The precommencement robing ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Polytechic United Methodist Church.
     Chris Combest, BA '00, will deliver the commencement address. Combest wrote about his military in service in Iraq for the Spring 2006 edition of Wesleyan magazine; click here to read the article.

2006 United Way Campaign Thank You

United Way logoThe President's Office would like to thank those who contributed to the United Way. The campaign was a tremendous success and the University raised $7,800 for this wonderful cause. We are proud to announce that this year's givings surpassed contributions from 2003, 2004 and 2005. Thank you again for those who contributed!

Texas Wesleyan in Burleson Receives Award

The Burleson Chamber of Commerce honored Texas Wesleyan in Burleson with the Commercial Business Dynamic Award for outstanding contributions to the community. Each quarter, the Chamber spotlights local business, and Texas Wesleyan and Hill College were honored for the fourth quarter of 2006. Judy Arnold, site coordinator for Texas Wesleyan in Burleson, accepted the award on behalf of Texas Wesleyan. Nancy Holland, executive director of Hill College @ Burleson, accepted on behalf of Hill College.

Teddy Bear Drive a Success

Teddy bearsA teddy bear drive sponsored by the Dean's Office of the Texas Wesleyan School of Arts and Sciences was a big success - 249 bears and other cuddly toys were collected. The Fort Worth Police Department uses the stuffed animals with children in crisis situations. Thank you to all Texas Wesleyan students, faculty, staff, administrators, and members of Polytechnic United Methodist Church who donated new teddy bears and other stuffed toys. Final Issue of the Semester for the Flame
