School Supplies Drive

Clip art of crayons Help students start the year off right by donating school supplies to local students in need. Bring your donations to the Office of Student Life by Thursday, Aug. 23. The donated items will be given to students at a local elementary school. For more information contact Jenny Houze at (817) 531-4870 or jlhouze@txwes.edu. The following items are needed:

Wide-ruled notebook paper Rulers
Crayons (all counts needed) Washable markers
#2 pencils    Facial tissue
Glue (both bottle and sticks) Ballpoint pens (blue or black)
Assorted construction paper 70 count spiral notebooks
Manila construction paper Map pencils (12 count and up)
Pocket folders with brads Backpacks
White or navy collared shirts (all sizes) Khaki or navy shorts, pants, skirts (all sizes)


Wesleyan Chorale Begins August 27

Clip art of G clefThe Wesleyan Chorale begins its fourth year on Monday, Aug. 27. Rehearsals will be held from 5:45 to 7 p.m. in Martin Hall. The chorale's first performance will be Mozart's Grand Mass In C Minor, scheduled for Nov. 13. All members of the Wesleyan community are invited to join the chorale, which is an ensemble comprised of music students, alumni, faculty and staff, and is intended to give a University community experience for all those interested in singing quality choral music. Anyone who's interested in joining is invited to email director Steve Simons or just show up for rehearsal on Monday, Aug. 27.

Alumni Star in Production of "The Phantom of the Country Opera"

Performances are at 7 p.m. Aug. 9-11 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, and can be reserved by calling the church office at (817) 531-1741. The church is located at 3900 Meadowbrook Drive in Fort Worth.
