2006 East & Southeast Fort Worth Economic Summit

Congressman Burgess
Congressman Michael Burgess

Texas Wesleyan University is co-sponsoring the 2006 East & Southeast Fort Worth Economic Summit from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, August 14, at the Radisson Hotel - Fort Worth South. Congressman Michael Burgess, honorary summit chair, invites everyone to serve as a delegate at the Summit.

Over the past twenty years, Fort Worth has been a thriving center for economic growth and job creation. With a renewed leadership commitment from the city and local economic development agencies – and its residents eager to embrace positive change – east and southeast Fort Worth are well-positioned for a long-sought-after economic renaissance. The summit, an ongoing effort to encourage and activate community members, will continue to focus on the four key areas outlined last year:

  • Attracting Investment

  • Preparing the Workforce of the Future

  • Building Communities & Changing Perceptions

  • Encouraging Entrepreneurship

The summit is free to attend but there is a $19 fee for an optional lunch. Because space is limited, you're encouraged to register as a summit delegate today. Contact Susanna Knouse for more information at Susanna@pfidc.org or (202) 467-2778. For up-to-date information and a summit agenda, visit www.publicforuminstitute.org
