Wesleyan Students and Staff Praised by Fort Worth Fire Department Chief Fire Chief L. Charles Gaines of the Fort Worth Fire Department wrote a letter to President Harold G. Jeffcoat to thank him for the kindness and consideration shown by our students and staff - especially those affiliated with the soccer program. When a multiple alarm fire broke out at 3131 E. Lancaster Ave., Wesleyan students and staff came over from the soccer field and provided the firefighters with water and other refreshments. "The firefighters were very appreciative of the thoughtfulness," said Gaines in the letter. "On behalf of the men and women of the Fort Worth Fire Department, please accept my sincere appreciation for their kind actions. Also, please pass on our thanks to the Director of Athletics and all those involved. They are a wonderful reflection of the type of people who attend and work at Texas Wesleyan." |
