Match Support

The main goal of the Match Support System (MSS) is to ensure that communication and interaction between mentors and mentees flow efficiently and effectively. As a result, the incoming new students are properly served and the mentor volunteers are not overwhelmed.

The MSS staff serves to remind the mentor volunteers of their commitments, important dates (such as registration, advising and birthdays) that the students need to be informed of and to simply remind the mentors to check on the progress of their matches. They will endeavor to maintain current contact lists of both the participating students and the volunteer mentors. The MSS staff will also provide the mentors with an information sheet that includes a list of casual activities that interest the mentee, as well as events on and off campus at little to no cost for the menor/mentee to attend.
