Steps to transfer in to Texas Wesleyan
from another U.S. institution:
1) Apply for admission to Texas Wesleyan University. Once accepted, Texas Wesleyan will issue you a Transfer Clearance Form. You will give this form to your current school's International Student Advisor to complete.
This form does not require that you go to this school. It does not transfer your SEVIS electronic file to Texas Wesleyan.
2) When you are positive that you will transfer, you will inform your current school's International Student Advisor. The International Student Advisor will then transfer the SEVIS electronic file to the new school at the end of the academic term.
3) When Texas Wesleyan has received the electronic file, we can issue the new I-20 for you. You must obtain an I-20 within 60 days of completing studies at your current school, and you must be enrolled at Texas Wesleyan within 5 months of completing studies at your current school.
4) If you are traveling outside the U.S. after your completion at your current school, you must use the I-20 from Texas Wesleyan University to enter the U.S. If there are time constraints, please contact the Texas Wesleyan to discuss method of getting the new I-20 to you.
