The mission of Texas Wesleyan University is “…to develop students to their full potential as individuals and as members of the world community”. Because interacting solely with members of ones own group is no longer possible in an ever shrinking world, this program seeks to reduce ethnocentric thinking. However, the second goal of this minor is more practical, to increase the marketability of degrees by adding important global knowledge which employers find valuable.
