Master of Arts in Professional Counseling Welcome to the Master of Arts in Professional Counseling Program at Texas Wesleyan University. Through the Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, Texas Wesleyan students become trained mental health counselors who are competent in today's multi-cultural society. Our student population is culturally diverse and we are interested in candidates with a bachelor's degree who wish to perform counseling in culturally diverse settings. Classes are offered evenings and weekends. A Master of Arts in Professional Counseling can be completed in 24 months. Graduates from the program are eligible to meet the requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. Texas Wesleyan is the only university in Tarrant County with this opportunity. Individuals who want to make a difference in social service agencies or in private practice and who have a desire to change conditions in our community are welcome to apply at Texas Wesleyan University.
