Deadlines to Apply:

Summer 2010 - April 15

Fall 2010 - June 15

The Master of Education in administration program is designed to provide coursework and experiences that will serve educators and school leaders who aspire to become principals or supervisors. This curriculum provides a sound approach to school leadership, particularly with the urban school principal in mind. The goal of the program is to promote the development of strong instructional leaders, who have a thorough understanding of theory and best practice in student-centered schools, and who have the wisdom and talent to lead the faculty and staff at their schools into this best practice. To that end, the coursework, seminars, and internship modules reflect the notion of wise instructional leadership.

The following Institutes are designed as blocked courses for those who have been accepted into the administration program. These courses must be successfully passed in order to receive the barcodes for the TExES principal exam for certification.

Students have the option of starting the program in the summer session or on weekends beginning in the fall session.
