“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

SPRING BREAK WORK TRIP

We are called by God to love our neighbors as ourselves. One way of showing this love of others (holiness of life) is to reach out and meet basic human needs. By such means as building shelter for the homeless or holding an orphan child we can meet these basic needs and open the doors for conversations about Jesus Christ. Whether you are the most skilled wood worker or if this will be the first time you have picked up a hammer; whether you have held many orphans or none; and whether you have had numerous work trip experiences or if this will be your first time, all are welcome to come and explore the world through meeting the needs of others!

The Spring Break Work Trip is a chance for students to get involved in various ministry opportunities beyond the Ft. Worth area. Through refurbishing homes, teaching and ministering to children, working for disaster relief depots, and so forth, students are given the opportunity to interact and minister to peoples from different walks of life and from different states/countries. Past trips have gone to places such as Alaska, Mexico, Costa Rica, New Mexico and South Central Los Angeles.

US-2 PROGRAM

The US-2 Program is a leadership development experience through peace with justice missions for young adults (20-30 years old). This two-year opportunity to serve in the United States encourages its participants to deepen their faith while learning from and serving with community based organizations. US-2's will boldly reexamine their role and participation in society as they struggle with hunger, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, illiteracy, children at risk, substance abuse, racism, domestic violence, and inadequate health care.
