Volunteerism “…put on a heart of compassion…” Tarrant Area Food Bank Tarrant Area Food Bank works to eliminate hunger in Fort Worth, Texas and 13 surrounding counties by providing food, education and other resources to partner agencies and their communities. Individuals and groups are invited to donate their time and skills to help Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) feed hungry Texans. There are many volunteer opportunities available: committee work for special events, hospitality docents, quality control workers, office assistants (data input, filing, reception duty), coordinators of Food & Fund Drives and so forth. Orientation is held in the Community Room at Tarrant Area Food Bank, 2600 Cullen Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107. COWTOWN BRUSH-UP Cowtown Brush Up is one of the most successful neighborhood revitalization programs ever instituted. Since 1991, a total of 1,310 homes have been painted in low-income neighborhoods.
