Johnese joined the Rams during for the spring 2006 semester.  During that time, she won the Under 1300 Singles title at the 2006 DFW Spring Open.

Prior to coming with Wesleyan, Johnese competed in several tournaments.  At the 2005 Austin Fall Round Robin, she advanced to the semifinals in 3200 Doubles with Sabrina Worrell.  She also won 3800 Doubles with Head Coach Keith Evans at the 2004 Ben Hill Stiga Open in Atlanta, GA.

Johnese graduated from the University of West Indies in Jamaica with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 

She looks forward to earning her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
