Theatre Wesleyan presents Cabaret

Book by Joe Masteroff

Lyrics by Fred Ebb

Music by John Kander

Texas Wesleyan University’s Theatre Wesleyan presents our 58th Annual Musical, Cabaret by Joe Masteroff, Fred Ebb and John Kander. Directed by Instructor of Theatre Brynn Bristol. The play will be presented in the Thad Smotherman Theatre in the Law Sone Fine Arts Building located on the Texas Wesleyan campus at the corner of Binkley St. and Avenue E.  Performances will be April 19-22. Thursday through Saturday performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. with one Sunday performance at 2p.m. on April 22nd.

"What good is sitting alone in your room, come hear the music play!” This legendary landmark musical turns Weimar Berlin of 1931 into a dark and sexually charged haven of decadence where its extraordinary and morally ambiguous inhabitants are determined to keep up appearances as the real world-outside the comfortable sanctuary of the cabaret- prepares for the nightmarish chaos of war. It is here that Sally Bowles performs nightly at the infamous Kit-Kat
Klub. “Its divine decadence darling!”

Tickets for every performance with the exception of Saturday April 21st are $12 for general admission, $8 for all Wesleyan faculty and staff, and $6 for all students with ID. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday April 10th. The box office will be open Tuesdays to Fridays 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and one hour before curtain on show days. For reservations please call 817-531-4211.

Tickets for Saturday April 21st are $15.00 and are only available through the office of advancement at 817.531.4404
